Playa Del Ingles
Just 30 minutes drive from Las Palmas airport, Playa del Inglés (meaning English beach) is conveniently located on the south coast of Gran Canaria and is the island's largest tourist resort. Abundant with beaches and nightlife, this busy resort has plenty of shops and modern restaurants to create a "fun in the sun" atmosphere. A huge variety of accommodation is on offer, providing something for everyone. The 8km golden beach provides space catering to each different groups: family sunbathers, nudists, a mixed adult section and a gay section. There is little in the way of culture or sights to be seen but it is ideal for sunbathers, shoppers and party-goers. There is a family atmosphere during the day with plenty for kids to do (beach, watersports, crazy golf and kiddies clubs) and the busy nightlife continues through to the early hours.
